Introduction
As a volunteer eBay assistant you will help to maximise sales of refurbished bikes and parts through the Julian House bike workshop on-line store.
Julian House bike workshop is a social enterprise run by the charity Julian House. As well as selling, servicing and repairing bikes, we also support socially excluded people to gain skills and work experience.
This role is based at our bike workshop in Trowbridge.
Role of Volunteer eBay Assistant
- Help to identify collectable items from the Julian House bike workshops, which are to be sold on eBay.
- Write descriptions and take photographs of items to be auctioned and sold via our eBay account.
- Research the value of saleable items using eBay and other on-line tools.
- Under the guidance of the Bike workshop manager, price items including setting a Reserve Price
- Create listings using eBay’s online software
- Monitor bids
- Answer any queries
- Help to organise postage and/or collection of items by buyers.
Skills and Qualifications Required
- Experience of using eBay and other online retail sites
- Ability to recognise collectable/valuable bikes and parts
- Good communication skills
- Good research skills
- Good IT skills
- Trustworthy and reliable

Other Information
We are looking for a volunteer who is prepared to commit to at least a minimum of half a day a week. We would prefer this commitment to continue for a minimum of 3 months. We will provide access to a desk, computer and phone. Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.
