Employment Specialist - Haringey
2 year fixed-term contract (start date 2 April 2018)

£29,519 - £32,636 per annum
St Mungo’s is a chosen provider of Public Health England’s national randomised controlled trial of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) for people facing barriers to employment relating to drug and/or alcohol use.
We are looking to recruit an Employment Specialist to deliver supported employment to people in community treatment for substance misuse, who may be affected by other health conditions or disabilities. The aim is to help people into paid work in a way that respects their preferences and choices. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the trial and to be at the forefront of evidence-based practice.
We do not expect you to know everything about IPS, however, we are looking for someone who has experience of talking to employers and helping people into work. You should have an understanding of the employment needs of people who experience problems with alcohol and/or substance use and the barriers they face. You should also possess excellent communication skills and be able to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
In return, we offer a range of benefits including a pension scheme, staff discounts scheme and initiatives to help you maintain a healthy work/life balance. We are also committed to providing our staff with a wide range of learning and development opportunities; in support of their personal and professional development
