The V&A stands ready to develop a major new presence over two sites within Stratford’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London, as part of the Cultural and Educational District (CED), at the heart of the largest urban regeneration project in Europe. Co-ordinated by the London Legacy Development Corporation, the CED will see the V&A located alongside UCL, Sadlers Wells and UAL’s London College of Fashion, between the Olympic Park and the new International Quarter, and within the already vibrant and diverse creative community of East London.
The V&A East Project Director is a key member and leader of the V&A East Project Team, working in close partnership with the Deputy Director and SRO and all of the projects internal and external stakeholders. This is a wide-ranging role, holding responsibility for, and leading, a number of key work streams necessary to deliver V&A East as a significant capital project for the museum.
The successful candidate will possess proven experience of leading, planning, and delivering major complex capital projects (in excess of £30 million) preferably in museums or the broader cultural sector. They will be a confident leader, able to manage multi-functional project teams and stakeholders.
