Situated within a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Royal Museums Greenwich (RMG) is a collection of diverse historical sites. The sites are the National Maritime Museum, Cutty Sark, the Royal Observatory, and the Queen’s House. Working within the Marketing team and reporting to the Senior Manager, Travel Trade, the Travel Trade and Sales Executive will be responsible for developing Travel Trade revenue through efficient administration, timely financing, operational support and focused account management.

Key administrative and financial support responsibilities include managing contract and pricing administration, managing third party bookings through trade portals, carrying out efficient invoicing in liaison with the Bookings and Finance teams, and updating systems and sales reports as well as client records. Sales support responsibilities include account managing a portfolio of existing trade clients to increase the volume of business generated for RMG, delivering product training to prospective clients, fostering positive relationships with clients, partners and tourism organisations, and promoting the company’s products during meetings, visits, exhibitions and networking events.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate proven sales experience with a genuine passion for working with customers and up-selling, strong administration experience, as well as experience within the tourism and travel industry. Persuasive and confident communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to form positive relationships with a variety of people are essential to this role. The postholder will be highly organised, remaining flexible while managing a wide and diverse range of tasks, as well as possessing strong IT skills, with the ability to manage databases.

This is a full-time, permanent role in Band 6 - Management and Technical Specialists. Core hours of work will be 36 per week, 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with an additional hour to be worked as agreed upon with management. 

Salary: £28,516 per annum
