About the role

Do you want to work in an amazing place?  Are you a qualified electrician with a passion for preserving history? Do you have a strong understanding of electrical systems and a keen eye for detail?  Due to the promotion of the existing post holder we are seeking a talented Electrician to join our friendly Chatsworth team where you will contribute towards the preservation and maintenance of our historic properties and estate in this rare and fulfilling role.

You will be responsible for the management, safety and operation of the high and low voltage supplies, installations, transformers, generators and equipment, ensuring the safe operation of all electrical installations to Chatsworth House, Stables, Gardens and Farmyard. 

This is a full time permanent position working Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm however; flexibility is required for the smooth operation of the organisation.

About you

You will have good communication skills and awareness of the need for confidentiality. It is essential to be able to work methodically, maintaining order and routine within the workplace. 

With a thorough knowledge and understanding of all emergency procedures, you will be vigilant on all matters concerning safety and security, have an awareness of relevant reporting procedures, and an ability to maintain accurate and concise records in line with current legislation. 

You must be able to show evidence a professional electrical qualification. Either NVQ or City & Guilds and have at least 2-3 years post qualification experience, and ideally, you will hold a valid ECS (Electrotechnical Certification Scheme) card.
