Are you in teaching to make a real difference?

Do you strive to support young people with SEMH in order for them navigate their educational journey?

Are you an inspirational ICT teacher with excellent curriculum knowledge and bags of emotional resilience?

The Short Stay School for Norfolk is a single countywide provision which meets the needs of a diverse cohort of vulnerable and challenging young people from 9 physical locations. The majority of our young people have been permanently excluded from mainstream and are preparing for an onward transition to a new school or specialist provision.

We are seeking a professional who has excellent expertise in planning, delivering and assessing ICT to Key Stages 3 & 4. The ideal candidate must have enthusiasm, drive and dedication in pursuing a career that supports cohorts of students who need the most guidance, help and support.

Applicants must be mindful that working at Locksley School can be challenging, at times, and working here isn’t for everyone. However, we offer an environment where classes are small in size (7-8 pupils), a strong, supportive network of colleagues and CPD experience tailored to our specific need. This is an opportunity to effect real change and witness rapid progress. We are amazed every day by what our students are capable of and are very proud of the difference we make to so many young people.

It is always advised to visit us so we can showcase our students to you. For an informal discussion about the post please email Natalie.dores@sssfn.org.uk.

Suitable candidates will be able to work well under their own initiative and have high levels of resilience, excellent ICT and administrative skills and an exemplary attendance record.
