Pinxton Village Academies are looking to appoint a PPA Class Teacher covering EYFS, KS1 and KS2 to provide high-quality, supportive, engaging, teaching for the pupils in our school. You would be joining an exceptional and supportive team of professionals, who are relentless in our pursuit of excellence and our mission to make every day count for the children. Pinxton Village Academies is the shared name for Longwood Infant Academy, John King Infant Academy and Kirkstead Junior Academy. We have a unique structure as we are led collectively by one Senior Leadership Team and have one Governing Board that supports us in delivering a warm welcoming atmosphere where all are nurtured and cared for. In 2018, our schools formally joined the Flying High Trust and now work collaboratively with our Trust colleagues to achieve our shared aim of being the best schools in the universe! We feel very strongly that school is a partnership between children, parents, staff and governors and that by working together we can motivate children to succeed in all areas of their development. Flying High Trust is a Multi Academy Trust of 30 primary schools across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Nottingham City. Your core duties will be:

  • Class teacher with subject leadership depending on experience
  • Ensure high-quality teaching and learning promote great progress for all 
  • Good classroom practitioner with high expectations 
  • Able to maintain positive behaviour through positive relationships
  • Approachable, enthusiastic and positive  
  • Able to communicate well and form positive relationships at all levels
