The Trust engages and inspires people  to make their difference tackling the nature and climate crisis helping protect, restore and create our vital woods and trees.

THE ROLE

The Membership Development Co-ordinator role involves planning, negotiating, delivering, and reviewing the provision of high-quality venues and events for the deployment of Woodland Trusts Face-to-Face Fundraising Officers, so that recruitment targets, key performance indicators and return on investment is achieved.
It will involve providing the Fundraising teams with regular insight into and advice on the development of our supplier and event portfolio along with recommending and implementing improvements to ways of working, supporting systems & processes.

This role is on a hybrid basis, our policy is an expectation of office attendance twice a month however this may change dependant on team needs.

THE CANDIDATE

You’ll be an approachable and customer focussed individual with exceptional relationship building skills. You will have experience of research using search engines, social media, (event) feedback, email, and phone, to identify new business opportunities along with being confident in negotiating best value terms, both financial and non-financial – with suppliers and partners.
You’ll have a background in either administration, customer service or business development and be assured in your ability to proactively work across teams to co-ordinate activity and ensure the effective delivery of agreed outputs. Ideally you will have a knowledge of the not for profit/charity sector and experience tracking and reporting on budgetary spend.

WHAT TO EXPECT BY JOINING A TEAM AND MAKING A DIFFERENCE

There’s no other organisation like the Woodland Trust. Joining the team you will be making your contribution to tackling the nature and climate crisis. In return, we recognise and value our people. You'll have our full support, training and opportunities for professional development, along with a contributory pension, life assurance, good holiday allowance and the opportunity to work flexibly from home.

OUR COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY & INCLUSION

At the Woodland Trust, we want to reflect and represent the full richness of diversity in the UK. Fewer of our employees are Black, Asian or minority ethnic; disabled; from lower socio-economic backgrounds or under 25; so we are particularly keen to receive your application if you are from one or more of these groups. We can also discuss anything you may need to achieve your full potential at any stage of the process. We assess your application solely on your demonstrated suitability for the job. Nothing else.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive a high volume of suitable applications. If you are interested, we'd encourage you to submit your application as early as possible
