Job Title:               Deputy Work Based Learning Delivery Manager – Technology Team

Contract:              Full Time, Permanent

Salary:                   £32,718 - £34,657 per annum

Location:              Cardiff & Vale College

 

Cardiff and Vale College are looking for a Deputy Work Based Learning Delivery Manager based within our Barry Campus but with the expectation to cover other campuses as and when needed.

The successful candidates for the posts will be primarily responsible for being accountable for the performance and quality of your team’s services/provision through effective performance management and to achieve the set operational key performance indicators which include the recruitment of learners monitoring of progression and achieving the qualification to meet the contract requirements.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage your team to ensure compliance with contractual requirements within all areas of the learners’ journey, which includes but not exclusive to health and safety vetting and monitoring, WEST testing, learner sign up and exit paperwork and on programme
  • Manage the caseloads of your team to ensure capacity is maximised to ensure effective use of team time and capabilities. Whilst increasing the overall number of learners on work-based learning
  • Analyse and evaluate performance data to provide a monthly report to your line manager on current and forecasted performance across your team to enable you to proactively manage and resolve
  • To have a sound understanding of sectors within your team’s provision and to be a point of contact for queries relating to these sectors by keeping up to date with current trends and
  • Actively engage with employers to promote work-based learning through attendance of meetings, support preparation of proposals, presentation at employer and network
  • To be the primary link within your team and work with your line manager to develop partnerships with employers to ensure learner progress is clear by all parties and promote the achievement of the

 

The successful candidate will have an appropriate management qualification and/or relevant management experience.
