The Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the Management Team in delivering the smooth and efficient running of the Security Service. This is for a prestigious bustling and vibrant riverside destination set in a magnificent setting in the heart of London Bridge.  There is something for everyone at this stunning destination and we are looking for high calibre SIA Licensed Security Personnel to join our Team.

INFORMATION

  • Position: Interim Corporate Security Site Supervisor
  • Location: London Bridge
  • Pay Rate: £12.80 per hour
  • Hours: Average 56 hours per week
  • Shifts: DAYS & NIGHTS 7 on 3 off 7 on 4 off
  • Duration: 6 months contract

Job Requirements

  • SIA Licence required
  • SIA CCTV is a bonus
  • Experience as a Team Leader/Supervisor is required of at least 1 year
  • Experience of working in a demanding, and sometimes high-pressure sites
  • Have a clear understanding and demonstrate outstanding customer service skills
  • Self-motivated & able to work on own initiative, Team player, Patient, Loyal, dedicated, reliable and trustworthy, Role model, Articulate, persuasive & assertive with a flexible with attention to detail
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Will have experience and knowledge of the Timegate system
  • Ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure
  • Physically able to carry out duties
  • Excellent PC skills with knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Will hold level 3 management qualification, or be prepared to work towards level 3 qualification - IOSH – Managing Safety in the workplace
  • Excellent understanding of the prevailing industry standards

 

Key Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for the deployment of the security team to ensure that a satisfactory security presence is maintained on site at all times as required by the Client Representative(s)
  • To ensure that all security personnel adhere to their duties and policies and procedures of the site at all times and report any breach of these immediately to the Duty Manager or the Contract Manager
  • Will have the ability to perform investigations to the highest standard and be highly competent on reporting their findings
  • Will be responsible for the standards and training of staff
  • Will monitor and report on the central training matrix for the wider contract
  • Deliver and encourage outstanding customer service delivery
  • Will assist in the operational planning and deployment of resources for all planned projects and events across the site
  • To respond to all incidents, taking ownership of the situation through to its natural conclusion to both client and management satisfaction
  • To identify and drive innovation across the contract
  • Empower the estate team to report defects, difference in the environment whilst out on the estate
  • Carry out any other reasonable request as required by the Client/Site Management

Operations

  • Report & liaise on a daily basis with the Deputy Operations Managers to ensure effective communication of all matters pertaining to the delivery of a high standard professional security service
  • Liaise with the Deputy Operations Managers on any problems which may occur throughout the day
  • Liaise with all zone supervisors to ensure complete coverage of the estate and manage any areas where responsibilities overlap
  • Ensuring that all staff are fully trained and competent in their roles and carrying out their required duties with regards to the CCTV, Fire and Security systems, and all other systems appropriate to this area of responsibility
  • Ensure that all equipment is managed, used, monitored and reported defective in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Provide effective support to the client’s Incident Management representative and undertake incident management responsibilities training as defined by the client
  • Maintain a good level of morale and discipline within the team taking into consideration their welfare
  • Set high personal standards for others to follow.
  • Ensure the security team carry out their duties in accordance with procedures and policies
  • Ensure all employees are motivated and trained to the required standard and subject to regular effective performance monitoring
  • Manage all life safety equipment, train and refresh all team members on life safety equipment at 3 monthly intervals
  • Ensure all reporting standards are maintained at the highest level
  • Ensure all incidents and issues are formally investigated and recorded
