What you’ll do

  • To lead a dynamic team of engineers in creating innovative mechanical designs that prioritise customer experience, quality, sustainability, and production efficiency.
  • Manage advanced Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system to control the configuration management of our Products.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, to ensure cost-effective solutions that exceed industry and regulatory standards and drive continuous improvement.
  • Use data analysis to help deliver superior, sustainable products that meet and exceed industry and regulatory standards.

 What you’ll need

  • HNC or Degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in electronic product design and development.
  • Advanced knowledge of 3D CAD systems such as Solidworks to deliver efficient product design.
  • A strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Detailed knowledge of Injection moulded components and electronics packaging.
  • Understanding of quality, reliability, and risk assessment procedures.
  • Good organisation skills, entrepreneurship, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.

 What’s desirable?

  • Knowledge of safety standards (e.g., SIL, ATEX etc)
  • Proven ability to deliver improvements to the sustainability of products.
  • Experience using advanced simulation systems such as ANSYS CFD and FEA to optimise product design.
  • Exposure to fire/gas detection, instrumentation or at some involvement in a high volume, heavily regulated industry.
