Full time, 37 hours per week
Term time + 4 weeks

Hethersett Academy is excited to be seeking a committed and dynamic librarian to join our high-performing staff team. This is an exciting opportunity to carve out a new role as a leading practitioner in an outstanding academy.

This unique position will oversee and develop a brand-new, purpose-built library. You will run the library, promote a love of reading across the school, and work closely with teachers and the SEND department to inspire children to read widely and confidently. The role will also involve running reading intervention for Key Stage Three pupils, so that every child can access the curriculum and achieve their best. As Assistant SENDco, you will play a key role in supporting the SEND department. This will include ensuring that provisions, such as additional support in class and interventions, are utilised effectively. This role will also include reviewing pupil targets and EHC plans for those students on the SEND register.

You will be a dedicated practitioner who is passionate about inspiring children to read widely. You will have experience with working with children and a desire to improve the attainment of all pupils. You may have experience of working in a library, however training will be provided as necessary.
