At St Mungo’s our vision is that everyone has a place to call home and can fulfil their hopes and ambitions.
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual who is able to promote life skills and move on strategies for young ex-offenders.
Working in a faith based eight bed, young person’s ex-offender hostel, you will be expected to work with and engage young people with the move on process from the hostel. Working closely with The National Zakat foundation, PRS landlords and the Housing Options Team you will advise and provide appropriate housing options for those who are ready for independence.
To be successful, you will be highly motivated and experienced in working with homeless people or engaging with hard to reach client groups. You will also have the ability to deliver tailored and personalised move on sessions; to enable clients to gain and retain the skills necessary to excel in their own tenancy. An understanding of the housing and welfare benefits system and working in a faith based environment, is also essential.
In return, we offer a range of benefits including a pension scheme, staff discounts scheme and flexible working to help you maintain a healthy work/life balance. We are also committed to providing our staff with a wide range of learning and development opportunities; in support of their personal and professional development.
