Governance Officer £34,500 London 37.5 hours per week
St Mungo’s is a homelessness charity that believes everyone should have a place to call home. We are looking for a bright, well-organised Governance Officer to support the Company Secretary with ensuring high standards of governance and effective risk management. This is a rewarding opportunity to develop your understanding of risk and compliance in a highly regulated environment.
As the Governance Officer you will be responsible for coordinating internal audit, risk management and compliance activities across St Mungo’s. A key element of the role will be the analysis of data in order to assess whether legal and regulatory requirements are being met. As a member of the Governance Team you will also assist with the servicing of board and committee meetings, in particular preparing reports for the Audit & Risk Committee.
To succeed, you will need to have the ability to initiate and maintain positive and effective working relationships with others. You will need excellent attention to detail and the ability to present complex information in a concise and easy to understand way. Other requirements are the ability to plan and work methodically to manage projects and multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
In return, we offer a range of benefits including a 6% pension contribution and generous and very popular flexi-time scheme enabling you to balance your work and home life and accrue additional days off work to supplement your 25 days annual holiday.
If you believe that you have what we are looking for, and have an interest in working for a charity which makes a real difference to the lives of people who are homeless, we would love to hear from you.
Closing date: 10am on Monday 29 January 2018.
Assessments and Interview: Monday 12 February 2018.
