Trainer Assessor – Electrical Installation and Maintenance
Full time, 37 hours per week
Salary £29,549 - £33,268
per annum dependent on qualifications and experience
PLUS Bursary up to £1,800
per year (qualification level dependent)
PLUS £4,500 ‘Golden Hello’ staged over 3 years

PLUS, up to £5,000 professional development bursary for formal education and training qualifications including:

  • Level 3-5 Education & Teaching
  • Level 3 TAQA Assessor Qualification
  • Level 4 TAQA Internal Quality Assurance Qualification

Requirements of the role

Due to our growing apprenticeship provision, we are looking to appoint an experienced Trainer Assessor for Electrical Installation and Maintenance to join our professional apprenticeship team.

You will train, assess, and support apprentices to achieve their full potential in theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and behaviours both in their workplace and at college. You may also be required from time to time to support in the delivery of full-time electrical learners in college.

Industrial and commercial experience within the electrical industry is essential, alongside an understanding and knowledge of the current apprenticeship standards up to level 3.

An appropriate teaching qualification, assessor award, and teaching experience is highly desirable, but all levels of prior training and experience will be considered for the right candidate as there will be opportunities for gaining further qualifications as stated above.

Location

Stephen Burke Construction Academy in Swadlincote Campus, coupled with homeworking and work-based visits to apprentices.
