Part Time Administrator - Ramsey Island/Woodlands reserves

As an administrator you will provide comprehensive administrative support to your work area facilitating the delivery of work programmes and an effective working environment.

This is a permanent, part-time contract for 22.5 hours per week. 

The successful candidate will have experience of delivering effective, proactive administrative support. 

You will support a variety of reserves across South Wales including Ramsey and Grassholm along with the Mid Wales Woodland Reserves. 

Ramsey is home to a nationally important population of chough and grey seals and an ever expanding population of seabirds. Grassholm is home to the largest Northern Gannet colony in Wales. The Mid Wales Woodland reserves support an important assemblage of migrant birds including Pied Flycatchers, Wood Warblers and Redstarts as well as a diverse range of  lichens, bryophytes and rare invertebrates

We are looking for someone who can : 

Provide comprehensive proactive administrative support to managers and teams across the various sites 

Support financial management and reporting processes, ensuring that financial information is accurate and well managed

Confidently and professionally manage telephone, email and face to face enquires 

Build and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally, using diplomacy and tact 

Manage data sensitively and in line with GDPR compliance 

Provide project administration to small projects 

 

Essential skills, knowledge and experience: 


Good working knowledge of Microsoft application

Knowledge of document management 

Knowledge of budget management terminology and phrases 

Organisational and time management skills 

Proactive approach to problem solving 

Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences via phone, email or face to face 

Able to organise meetings and events and coordinate all aspects of the meeting or event 

Able to make the best use of time particularly when under pressure from competing priorities, prioritising and delegating tasks effectively, during periods of both low and high demand. 


Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:

Experience of working with volunteers 

Business Administrative qualification 

 

This is a permanent part time role for 22.5 hours per week.

The role will be predominantly home based with occasional visits to the various reserves required. We would expect the successful applicant to live in or close to the area in question.
