The Role:
The role will be based in Sheffield around the Kelham Island area. It will involve a variety of tasks supporting the internal team, there is a vast amount of telephone work so you must be an excellent communicator with an upbeat personality and have a tenacious approach.

Duties will include:

  • Researching on the internet on a daily basis which can become repetitive at times
  • Data inputting
  • Some reception duties but being the first point of contact for anyone calling
  • Adding jobs to websites
  • Contacting candidates looking for work & chasing documentation
  • Contacting companies re references & chasing where necessary
  • Carrying out pre-employment checks
  • Contacting new applicants looking for work & asking a variety of questions
  • Sending out mailers
  • Sending out IT assessments to candidates & documenting when they come back
  • Updating records on the database on a daily basis
  • Assisting in other areas when and where necessary

The Person:

  • Good IT skills, knowledge of Microsoft office and accuracy
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Persuasive personality
  • Tenacious
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent rapport building skills
  • Good telephone manner

Skills Required:

  • Maths and English at GCSE Grade 4 and above

The successful candidate will study a Customer Service Level 2 Standard. This will be aided by an assessor who will carry out all assessments as work-based learning within the workplace.

Working Hours and Wage:
37 Hours Per Week. Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
£4.35 per hour
£160.95 per week

Possible progression to higher level or full-time employment for the right candidate

The Business:
A for Appointments is a privately-owned recruitment service which has provided both temporary & permanent flexible, efficient and affordable recruitment solutions since April 2000. They formed a partnership with a company called Paragon Services in 2020 so now also offer services in the construction sector, the role will involve working for both sides of the business.
