We currently have an exciting opportunity for a permanent First Aid Officer to join our Guest Experience Team, to provide First Aid to visitors, staff and contractors across our large and busy site. You must be physically fit, as you will regularly walk many miles each day around the zoo in all weather conditions and will carry emergency equipment with you at all times.

The ideal candidates will:

  • Be flexible with a “can do” attitude
  • Have experience in delivering First Aid and a minimum of a First Aid at Work qualification would be an advantage but full training will be provided in this area
  • Have good First Aid knowledge
  • Have excellent customer care skills
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be able to keep calm and make decisions in a pressured situation
  • Be able to prioritise, plan and organise day to day tasks to ensure efficient running of the First Aid service

A current Medical Gasses certificate, basic awareness of Health & Safety and experience of working within a large customer focused business would also be desirable.

Hours of work are 40 per week, worked 5 days out of 7, including weekends and Bank Holidays as scheduled.
