The V&A Research Institute (VARI) is part of the Collections Division at the V&A and is charged with conducting, facilitating and promoting research across all aspects of the Museum’s collections and activities.
We are seeking a Research Grants Manager to support the Director of the V&A Research Institute and staff throughout the Museum to identify and secure funding for projects, partnerships and fellowships. The postholder will consolidate and expand the Museum’s record with research councils, charitable trusts and private sources, and also work with the Development Department to ensure strategic coordination with the broader fundraising efforts of the V&A. S/he will pursue, negotiate and manage partnerships that enhance and develop the Museum’s programmes, including exhibitions, publications, digital projects, conferences, and artist- and designer-led projects. S/he will have a proven track record in securing research funding from a range of sources, and will be able to represent the Museum nationally and internationally, in the context of collaborations with universities and other academic bodies.
Closing date for receipt of applications is 8th September. Interviews will be held week commencing 16th September.
