We have a new opportunity for an experienced dynamic flexible manager with a range of skills to join our South Central Regional Team.
As a successful candidate, you will provide support to the management teams and education departments across all 10 prisons within South Central.

The role will include providing cover in the prison for all management roles, from programme manager to education manager as the need arises and as directed by the Deputy Director and Head of Cluster. Supporting new staff, training and development of teachers and support staff, driving the quality of provision and curriculum planning. You will also be required to cover lessons when needed.

No two days will ever be the same in this role; it is a great opportunity to see a range of prison settings, different departments, managers, and help find solutions to a variety of challenges.

As a successful candidate, you will have:

  • A teaching qualification and ideally Assessor/Verifier awards.
  • Have a relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Subject specialism in maths or English (desirable)
  • Proven prison education management experience
  • Evidence of providing high quality effective learning experiencesProven experience leading curriculum innovation and development
  • Experience of leading the Self-Assessment process and a track record in the management of quality improvement with evidence of raising standards
  • Proven experience in fulfilling a management role during an Ofsted Inspection
  • The ability to manage budgets efficiently and effectively
  • Experience of co-ordinating curriculum development and delivery across a range of courses/areasExperience in overseeing efficient and effective curriculum organisation and planning which provides value for money
  • Confidence to act as an ambassador for the College with a range of external organisations, stakeholders and the community
  • Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of co-ordinating curriculum development and delivery across a range of courses/areas
  • Ability to plan, communicate and problem solve effectively
  • Knowledge of current relevant initiatives within FE, resource management and the vocational area of responsibility

Location: South Central

Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Salary: £33,235 - £38,686 per annum
