As a result of promotions, we have opportunities for a science teacher suitable for a NQT and a more experienced science teacher with a TLR2.2 (£4,447).  Heanor Gate Science College, situated on the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire border, are looking to appoint dynamic, innovative and enthusiastic professionals who combine excellent organisational and teaching skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students.  The science faculty has a strong record of success at KS4 and 5 and was the top performing science faculty at KS4, within The Spencer Academies Trust.  At KS5, we were in the top 2% of schools for A level biology attainment A*-C.  There will be opportunities to teach A level of your chosen specialism.  The successful applicants will join a very committed, forward thinking and successful team.  We are a 'good' school (Ofsted March 2017) with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.

This is the opportunity to work within a strong, supportive and friendly faculty with a track record of excellent external examination results and a collegiate approach to working.  This position is suitable for NQTs and experienced teachers.  Applications from all science related subjects will be considered.
