The school staffing levels vary from time to time due to illness, planned absence and other various aspects. This role ensures that we build a bank of professional, in house teaching capacity with whom staff and students will be familiar with and can become part of the schools culture and ethos.
This position is offered on a casual, temporary basis, providing both short term and long term cover as the need arises.
Core Responsibilities
· To undertake duties commensurate with those expected by the National Teacher Standards
· To ensure students are safeguarding effectively at all times and the schools safeguarding processes are followed
· Actively promotes student wellbeing, providing guidance and support
· To act in the role of tutor / mentor where required
· To actively deliver cover to students as determined by lead teachers, to ensure a continuity of provision for students and allow expected progress to be made
· To uphold the school’s standards and expectations in relation to behaviour and engagement
· To undertake break and lunch duties as determined by the HR team
· To provide support to Curriculum areas in relation to marking, assessment and feedback or preparation of curriculum-based materials
· Have the ability to be creative and inspirational
· To undertake any training as required by the role
· To undertake and further responsibilities as reasonably directed by the Head Teacher or a member of the Strategic Leadership Team
