The Estate team brings together expertise in technical services, engineering, surveying and housekeeping and ensures that the buildings are safe, always fit for purpose and beautifully presented. 

We manage a number of conservation, restoration and refurbishment projects, and also manage all back of house spaces and facilities, working with colleagues across the whole organisation. We also play an integral role in the delivery of capital projects – including the new developments across the V&A estate in London and further afield.

Whilst based in South Kensington the Technical Lead (maintenance) has responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the Museum’s mechanical and electrical facilities will be responsible for providing engineering expertise and knowledge to the portfolio of V&A sites.  Working as part of a small Estate team, the post holder will provide engineering expertise in support of the entire estate, ensuring the buildings are fit for purpose, operating at their full potential and that we are compliant with statutory requirements.
