The V&A is Britain’s national museum of art and design, and is one of the greatest museums of decorative arts in the world. The V&A’s purpose is to enable everyone to enjoy its collections and explore the cultures that created them; and to inspire those who shape contemporary design.
We are seeking a records and archives assistant who will work in the V&A Archive and Registry, part of the Word and Image Department. You will contribute to the management of the Museum’s institutional records and archives, working with both paper-based and electronic information. Tasks will include documentation, appraisal and disposal of records, and the physical management of paper-based records and archives. The successful candidates will have a degree or equivalent qualification, and experience in information-handling and general administration. As well as good IT and communication skills, we will be seeking a demonstrable interest in record-keeping and archives as a career.
