As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be working closely with the Technical Team to influence the design of new products to allow for ease of manufacture and ensure a smooth transition from drawing board to assembly line.

You will support the Operations Team through research and development of new methods or machinery to improve the efficiency and quality of our current product lines. Working closely with the Process Engineers you will ensure assembly processes and operating procedures provide our operators with a safe working environment.

You will be able to identify opportunities for automation and be capable of project managing the introduction of automation projects into our factory. This will encompass conceptual design, vendor selection all the way through to the installation and training of staff within out factory. This role will involve travel around the UK and maybe further afield if the solution demands it.

As a team we will actively encourage you to question and examine everything to become proactive in finding solutions and identifying areas for improvement. This will improve your innovation mindset and help drive our business forward.

Apollo are willing to support your continued development with academic or other external training as required to ensure that we can adapt our process and equipment designs to implement new technologies.

 Essential Skills

  • Minimum of HNC or equivalent in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques.
  • Have ability to define, analyse and propose solutions to engineering problems.
  • Able manage and lead complex projects involving cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations.
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Motivated and driven to reach your potential.
