As part of the central Technical team, you will manage and maintain technical systems and assimilate/process data that will support the technical improvement activities.

Aims of Role:
  • To manage technical systems in a timely and effective manner
  • To provide administrative and systems support to the department, to further develop systems as required
  • To manage and trend all customer complaints in a timely and effective manner
  • To support group technical activities as required
  • To support the Quality Managers

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and develop all technical systems
  • To produce agreed reports that will enable the technical department to undertake measurable improvement activities.
  • To carry out analytical work on co-packer/licensee samples as required
  • To respond to customer complaints in a professional and timely manner
  • To portray a professional image to all external parties
  • To highlight any improvement activities that will deliver a benefit to Nichols plc
  • To offer technical support for UK & international co-packers / licensing partners & licensees where required
  • To understand and measure department service levels for internal and external customers of the technical department
  • To address any deficiencies in department service levels in a timely manner

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Scientific Degree level or equivalent. (Desirable)
  • Experience of working within a Technical team (Desirable)
  • Experience of working within a soft drinks manufacturing environment (Desirable)
  •  Experience of using an electronic specification system / database (Essential)
  • Experience of working in a technical support role within a factory based technical team (Essential)
  • Understanding the process of handling customer complaints (Desirable)
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
