The Short Stay School for Norfolk is a single countywide institution which meets the needs of a diverse cohort of vulnerable and challenging young people from 9 physical locations. The majority of our young people have been permanently excluded from school and are preparing for an onward transition to their new school or specialist provision.

We are seeking an exceptional person to work within the Transitions Team, based from The Hooper Lane School, Norwich. This person will be responsible for liaising with secondary schools, parents and carers and organising admissions to and reintegrations from the SSSfN.

This post requires a high level of initiative and independent working and we are looking for a candidate who has worked in the school sector with challenging students.

The post will require extensive travel and therefore a driving licence and access to a vehicle are key requirements.

Suitable candidates will be able to work well under their own initiative and have high levels of resilience, excellent ICT and administrative skills and an exemplary attendance record.
