Do you love working with children who are full of beans?
Can you motivate and support children to eat and play together?
Are you lots of fun, but firm?
You may be retired and looking for a new challenge. You may have small children at school with time to spare!
Chellaston Fields Spencer Academy is looking to appoint its very first play leaders, with a vision and a passion for working with children within primary education.
We are looking for a friendly, caring and flexible person to join our very small team at our brand new academy. The role will be to assist our children during their lunchtime and to provide playground support and supervision, including basic medical care where necessary.
We will be serving a ‘family dining’ style lunch, so this will require help with developing great table manners and social skills. After the children have eaten, your role will be to lead play and games for the remainder of the lunchtime, ensuring they have lots of fun and are well behaved. You will be working as part of a small team, both inside and outside (warm clothing is often needed!) so it’s vital that you have great communication and interpersonal skills, enjoy working with children and reflect our school values.
Previous experience would be an advantage but not essential as mentoring/training will be provided.
You may be interested in combining this role with our Play Mentor roles, either before school, after school or both! If so, please indicate on your application form which roles you would like to apply for?
