Seasonal Production Factory Operative - Own Transport is Essential

SHIFTS – Early and Back-shift positions available

5:00am - 1:30pm (Monday - Thursday)

5:00am - 11:30am (Friday)

OR

12:30pm - 8:30pm (Monday - Thursday)

11:00am - 6:30pm (Friday)

Our normal recruitment period is from March/April through to end of November/December

Own transport is essential.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working as part of a team and is physically demanding
  • Working with raw materials and industrial mixers
  • Attention to detail for handling weights
  • Maintaining our high level of hygiene and quality procedures is essential.
  • Training will be provided.

DESIRABLE SKILLS FOR THIS POSITION:

  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Able to work in a team
  • Have a high level of dexterity and have good hand/eye coordination
  • Have the ability to follow written instruction
  • Have an understanding of how to interpret work instruction
  • Able to work to according to targets set by customers
  • Ensure a high standard of hygiene and health and safety
  • Be adaptable and flexible
  • Attention to detail

Walkers Shortbread was established in 1898 and is now owned by third and fourth generation of the Walker family. Both generations work in key roles with the clear intention for the business to remain private and wholly family owned with the fifth generation also now involved. As one of Scotland's luxury food producing companies, we are delighted to advertise this exciting and rewarding opportunity to join Walkers Shortbread Ltd at our Aberlour and Elgin site.

Still very traditional in many ways our recipe remains the same today as it was 122 years ago. Our manufacturing plant has moved on leaps and bounds with 6 modern factories based in Aberlour and Elgin (North East Scotland).
