Head of Languages

Required from September 2017

MPS/UPS + TLR 1c £7,621

Give every student the language skills to get ahead.

At Academy Transformation Trust, we believe that every child matters and deserves a first class education. Operating across the Midlands, the East of England and the South East, we make sure that students leave our academies with everything they need to reach their full potential.

Sutton Community Academy is one of the jewels in our crown: a school that’s been deemed Outstanding for leadership and pupil welfare and awarded Sports Leader Academy status. Whether it’s encouraging pupils to take part in mock legal proceedings, release their inner entrepreneur via investment challenges or learn self-discipline within an active CCF, this is a school where innovation takes centre stage. We know it’s going to be your kind of place.

You will be an asset to the leadership team and lead a strong team of energetic linguists. Together, you will be a top performing faculty and be held in the highest regard within the academy and across The Trust.

Teaching mainly French from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 and preferably some Spanish, you will bring the country into the classroom and share your love of speaking and learning a foreign language with our pupils in order to develop fluency from the minute they arrive.

You will go the extra mile to ensure languages are for everybody by making learning interactive, fun and accessible to all. You will play a key role in helping pupils to achieve the E-Baccalaureate because we want them to have a suite of skills to help them compete and succeed against the best in a globalised world.

You can be certain that we will give you the support to make your ideas reality.

Closing date: Midday on Monday, 13 March 2017.

Interview date: w/c Monday 20 March 2017.

Please note that this position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check and that your qualifications will be verified.
