JOB PURPOSE
For you, this opportunity will help you gain valuable experience and skills across a wide variety of topics and functions, whilst being supported by the Strategy & Sustainability Manager

For us, this role will predominantly support the market intelligence aspects of our projects, processes and will contribute to many aspects of the commercial strategy. You will be responsible for assisting the Strategy & Sustainability Manager and Commercial team to deliver a wide range of value-add projects as well as managing aspects of our marketing strategy.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Market Intelligence

  • Support the commercial team with product, market and competitor analysis with the aim of informing and strengthening commercial decisions
  • Disseminate market reports relating to market opportunity and competitor landscape, raising market and competitor awareness
  • Act as a key contact for market intelligence queries from Tankships’ teams
  • Support the team in the provision of high quality, insightful and value add market intelligence pertinent to key stakeholders
  • Work proactively to analyse and understand key market trends
  • Support the Strategy & Sustainability Manager and the Commercial Team in investigating and developing the tools for market intelligence
  • Prepare Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents

 

Marketing

  • Support the Strategy & Sustainability Manager in harmonizing the Tankships branding across all areas of the business
  • Proofread and draft marketing documents, including in relation to social medias
  • Attend and contribute to commercial and marketing meetings. Support with taking notes and drafting agendas.
    • Proactively work with other team members across our own function and others
    • Prioritise activities for the best interest of the team when working on joint projects.
    • Handle any requests and deliver quality solutions if able, or escalate the request to a more senior team member when required
      • Attends seminars and meetings relative to the Shipping Industry

This intern opportunity would suit someone with a shipping background that understands the shipping markets and will analyse market intelligence and present findings. It is an opportunity for a recent graduate that has had their employment affected by COVID19.
