Position: Facilities Assistant (Office Based)                                                                                                                          

Hours of Work: 40 Hours per week Mon-Fri 8.30AM-5.00PM

Location: London SE11-6NQ.

Salary: £18K-£20K + Paid Overtime as required. (Permanent Position)

Due to ongoing company expansion, we now have an immediate requirement for an office based Facilities Assistant.

The Role: 

Reporting to the Facilities Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the reconciliation and allocation of uniform, equipment and consumables to a staff of over 450. You will also undertake ad-hoc admin duties and generally assist the Facilities Manager as required.

 

 Duties: Uniforms/Stationary/H&S Supplies & Equipment. 

  • Receive daily stock from suppliers, unpack, check and store.
  • Pick and issue required uniform/equipment for onsite staff, or pack & despatch to field staff.
  • Keep accurate records of uniforms/stationary/equipment distributed by date and name.
  • Keep storeroom bins re-stocked at all times.
  • Carry out regular stock-taking.
  • Arrange uniforms laundry, fold, pack and return to stock & record.
  • Arrange uniforms alterations and repairs.
  • Deal with general deliveries, check, sort and distribute as directed.
  • Issuing engineers with ancillary equipment as required.
  • Keeping detailed logs of all equipment that is issued to employees.
  • Responding and supplying to individual orders for uniform from engineers.
  • Provide a point of contact for communications in relation to equipment enquiries.
  • Maintain a high level of personalised customer service at all times.
  • Assist with administration tasks as required.
  • Ad-Hoc admin and general manual tasks as required.
  • Some light manual lifting is required for this role.
  • Keeping the storage facility tidy and fit for purpose.

Essential Requirements:

  •  Excellent communication & organisational skills with clearly spoken English.
  • An ability to deal professionally, calmly and tactfully with engineers and staff.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative in a busy environment.
  • Able to provide two recent excellent references.
  • Helpful and Positive Can-Do attitude.
  • Able to Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders throughout the business.
  • Able to multi task.
  • Smart in appearance.

Hours of Work:

You will be contracted to work a 40 hour week, your specific hours of work and details of breaks will be as defined by your Manager in accordance with operational requirements.  Employees are expected to be co-operative in working outside their normal hours as necessary to cope with varying situations and workloads. You may be required to work additional hours, including weekends as authorised by the needs of the business. For any additional hours worked you will be paid at your basic rate of pay or given alternative time off in lieu.
