We are seeking a number of Partnerships and Engagement Officers to join the new Partnerships, Engagement and Inclusion team within TfGM’s Corporate Affairs function.

With transport high on the local and national agenda to build back better and greener post-pandemic, we have a critical role to help Greater Manchester realise its ambitions for the Bee Network – an integrated active and public transport network which is affordable, accessible, inclusive, sustainable, and accountable. In support of these ambitions, these exciting new roles will help to ensure TfGM understands, listens to, and influences Greater Manchester residents and business across the city-region’s diverse geographies and demographics.

The roles sit across the two areas of People and Place and Business and Employers and will specialise in either one as follows:

People and Place

• Developing and maintaining TfGM partnerships and acting as the gateway to and advocate for communities and residents to ensure TfGM has a rich understanding of transport needs and barriers of people and places.

Business and Employers

• Developing and maintaining effective strategic relationships with business representative organisation, leaders, sectors and geographies at GM and place level to listen to, understand and influence.

You will be asked to confirm which area you’re applying for as part of the application process.

The successful candidates will have proven experience of delivering strategic and tactical engagement activity in relevant sectors, be able to advise TfGM functions on best practice approaches around engagement and co-design, and have the ability to provide insight, intelligence and regular reports to support planning and decision making.

As well as the ability to proactively develop and maintain strategic relationships which deliver impact at scale, you will be able to develop relevant, targeted engagement materials, support the delivery of events and effectively represent TfGM at external meetings and events.
