The Projects Interpretation Producer will sit within the Interpretation team and apply the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion to develop and deliver audience-centred interpretation schemes that are meaningful, relevant and inspiring.
The post holder will be responsible for devising and delivering the interpretation for specific gallery refurbishment projects at South Kensington (to be allocated on appointment). This role requires creative and practical thinking combined with an ability to take initiative to interpret and deliver interpretation and content that speaks to the vision and values of the V&A and above all, its audiences.
The ideal candidate will be a passionate audience advocate, ensuring that the needs and lived experiences of our visitors, both current and underrepresented, are carefully considered—shaping and honing overarching curatorial narratives and facilitating audience engagement to elicit responses and potentially content that can be integrated into the displays and interpretation in a manner which activates and forefronts all collection stakeholders’ voices.
This is a fixed term contract for 22 months
Closing date for applications: midnight on Sunday 9 October 2022
Interviews will be held w/c 24 October 2022
