The V&A is looking for a scholar with South Asian expertise, especially in the field of textiles, and the willingness and ability to communicate that knowledge to a wide audience (orally and in writing). The successful candidate must have a degree or post-graduate qualification in a relevant field; demonstrable knowledge of South Asian textiles; experience of working in a museum or gallery; excellent computer and organisational skills; and the ability to work and contribute collaboratively.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will have published in the field of South Asian art and design; have experience of managing research projects and academic events; experience of educational projects with communities of diverse cultural backgrounds; experience of working on exhibitions; and South Asian and/or Persian language skills.
