The Old Theatre is a complex needs mixed hostel, high support 12 beds service that is staffed 24/7 with at least 2 staff members on site at all times.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a wonderful, dynamic and creative service with complex clients; developing a Psychologically Informed Environment.

You will be responsible for supporting the working shift pattern of the hostel, whilst holding a case load of 2 to 3 clients from the hostel; however there is a co-keywork system among all Project Workers. There is also a lot of scope to spend as much time with the clients, go out to appointments and provide an intense support. Other areas of the role will involve duty work such as log book, emails, petty cash, handovers, H&S and incidents management.

To succeed, you will either have personal experience of homelessness or a sound understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerably housed people. You should also possess good interpersonal and listening skills; in order to be able to establish an effective working relationship with clients and an eagerness to learn and work with clients in a holistic and client-centred approach. Good numeracy, IT and written communication skills are also required.

Flexibility is required, as you will be working a shift rota.

In return, we offer a range of benefits including a pension scheme, staff discounts scheme and flexible working to help you maintain a healthy work/life balance. We are also committed to providing our staff with a wide range of learning and development opportunities; in support of their personal and professional development.
