The V&A is inviting applications from UK based designers and makers who wish to develop their practice in new ways by working with the Museum’s Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert Collection (hereinafter referred to as “the Gilbert Collection”) and developing public engagement activities.
We are particularly interested in proposals that draw on the unique characteristics of the V&A’s Gilbert Collection.
The residency will take place between April 2017 and October 2017 and is open to UK-based practitioners. The Museum will provide a studio at the V&A South Kensington, a monthly bursary (taxable) and an additional budget for production and materials needed for any public facing activities. A team drawn from the Museum’s staff will provide support throughout the project.
Interviews with short-listed artists: 5 December 2016
Residency Length: April 2017– October 2017
