Development Research Volunteer

Research and data underpins the work of the Development team, and to support this function we are looking for assistance in a number of tasks, including: 

  • Producing summary emails of news and developments in our main sectors of interest (e.g maritime industry, arts and heritage sector) 
  • Reviewing fundraising resources to help identify potential prospects
  • Information gathering for research and due diligence requests as required 
  • Updating database records to ensure prospect information is captured 

  What we’re looking for in you: 

  • An interest in fundraising and research
  • An interest in/enthusiasm for museums and the arts/heritage sector 
  • Good research skills and the ability to identify and summarise relevant information 
  • Computer literacy

  Time Commitment:  

We would hope that volunteers could commit at least half a day a week, on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. This would ideally be onsite at the Royal Museum’s Greenwich offices, to ensure the security of personal data, but there is potential for some tasks to be carried out at home.
