James Fisher Offshore are looking to recruit an experienced Management Accountant.
Job Purpose
To manage the core finance function for local businesses within the JFS Group and report accurate monthly financial results. The key responsibilities will be:-
- Preparation of monthly management accounts;
- Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss reconciliations;
- Management of fixed asset registers;
- Assistance with Sales and Purchase ledger;
- Preparation of GST and VAT returns;
- Payroll preparation and review;
- Assistance with external and internal audit requirements;
- Suggest improvements in control processes;
- cash management including approval of purchase ledger and other ad-hoc payments;
- Any other duties and ad-hoc tasks required to support the finance function and delivery of financial information to stakeholders;
Requirements
- A self-starter capable of managing multiple activities and priorities
- Proactive and enthusiastic
- Strong technical accounting background
- Be highly numerate and analytical
- Effective and strong communication skills
- Have experience in a deadline driven environment where quality must be maintained
Qualifications & Experience
- Part or Fully Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
- Good Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge and experience in using operational systems and Sage 200.
- Experience in using COGNOS would be beneficial
