Locum Workers - London

£12.13 per hour (Project Worker rate)

Do you have experience of managing complex and challenging situations in relation to homelessness? Do you also have a sound understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerably housed people? If so, join our growing bank of Locum Workers.

We have a large bank of Locum Workers in approximately 150 hostels, assessment hubs, Housing First services, care homes and outreach services across London. Our services use a recovery based approach for our clients, focusing on addressing the issues a person faces to help them move on with their lives, and we are looking for additional Locum Workers to deliver project work, outreach work and night work on a flexible and casual basis.

Working in various locations across London, you will deliver a professional, impartial, pragmatic and client-focussed service to a wide range of clients, including those with multiple and complex needs. You will be covering annual leave, sickness and gaps in recruitment. In return you can expect support from a supervising manager and mandatory training to ensure ongoing development and communication.

Locum Workers will be responsible for a wide range of duties which could include key working with clients, health & safety checks, day to day management of hostels, assessing the needs of individual rough sleepers, and working with external agencies where appropriate. You will have excellent communication skills and be able maintain motivation for a high level of contact with clients and to adopt an assertive approach when required. Above all, we are looking for motivated, inspiring people who want to make a difference in the lives of those who have or are experiencing homelessness.

We provide a bed and support to more than 2,500 people a night who are either homeless or at risk, and work to end homelessness and rebuild lives.
