Head of Maths
We are looking for an inspiring Head of Maths to join the Maths department on a permanent basis. The ability to teach Maths to KS5 is essential.
• We teach the Edexcel IGCSE, OCR Additional Maths and Edexcel A-Level specifications • You will teach a full range of pupils from 1st Form to U6th
As Head of Maths, you will be responsible for the day-to-day co-ordination of the Maths Department, as well as its strategic management in consultation with the Deputy Head (Academic). In the department there are 9 full-time members of staff working across 8 fully equipped Mathematics classrooms with Smartboards. Each classroom is equipped with wireless internet access and a Smart TV. Pupils access resources via their own devices and teaching is supported by Microsoft OneNote.
You will be expected to carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the College’s policies under the direction of the Headmaster. Teaching at LWC requires that members of the academic staff be willing to contribute fully to the life of the College. This includes tutoring, co-curricular involvement, boarding house duties, cover duties, and attending parents’ evenings for the year groups taught. Liaison with parents is included in the sphere of the teacher’s responsibilities.
