Who we are:

VMS (Fleet Management) Ltd is a forward thinking fleet management and contract hire company with facilities throughout the UK. VMS provides a range of services to both blue chip and SME fleet operators and Insurance companies including contract hire, flexi hire, accident management repair and maintenance and fleet disposal and sales services.

VMS have built a strong, dynamic client base and pride ourselves on customer retention. Customer service and client focus are paramount to the business. We are now looking for a Service Advisor for our Warrington site.

Key accountabilities/responsibilities
• Booking jobs in with customers
• Planning (including route optimisation) and allocating maintenance jobs to vehicle technicians
• Monitoring and tracking of scheduled work, ensuring that all booked jobs are completed on time and to agreed customer service levels
• Ordering parts / lubricants as required including adherence to stock control disciplines and procedures (including audits)
• Undertaking other relevant team administrative duties as required
• Ensuring WIP deadlines are met and carried out in a cost-effective manner
• Managing the technician resource planning (including holiday / absence cover)
• Supporting the technicians in improving efficiencies and delivery against defined KPIs and service level targets

Key Skills
• Ability to efficiently utilise different computer and communication software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office and fleet management system)
• Able to confidently communicate, both orally and in writing to provide exemplary customer service and clear requirements to mobile technicians
• Ability to work as part of a high performing team and alone using initiative
• Attention to detail and technically minded
• Ability to manage time and prioritisation of tasks within a pressurised environment
• Proactive in reviewing and improving existing procedures to prevent reoccurrence of problems
Knowledge / Experience
• Experience in providing an outstanding service to customers
• Experience of LCV / HGV maintenance industry highly desirable
• Previous experience in a maintenance scheduling role (e.g. vehicle service dealership)
• IT literate - competent in using Excel as well as planning software systems

Location: Warrington
Salary: £22,000 per annum
Job role: Full time permanent
Hours: 40 hours a week Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm
