Duties will include delivering the highest standards of customer service, sales, visual merchandising of products, upselling, welcoming guests, unit cleaning, health & safety standards, cash handling, stock control and replenishment.

The ideal candidates will:

 Have previous experience of working in a fast-paced retail or visitor attraction environment or similar.

• Be passionate about excellent customer service and be a strong communicator.
• Be confident, flexible and approachable with a “can do” attitude.
• Enjoy exceeding targets and up selling.
• Be comfortable and able to work outside for long periods in all weathers.

A full, clean driving licence is also desirable. Please state in your application if you have this.

Flexibility in these roles is key so candidates must have one of the following availabilities and we are looking for a mixture of both:

Either;

• be able to work up to 5 days out of 7 every week which will include weekends and bank holidays (days to be set by Chester Zoo)

Or;

• be able to work weekends (including Bank Holidays) and work up to 5 days out of 7 in school holidays (days to be set by Chester Zoo)

Contracts will be offered on a minimum 8 hour per week basis (2 x 4 hour shifts), but hours of work may be significantly more during busy periods.

Candidates must be aged 16 or over and have completed their Year 11 studies at the proposed start date.
