James Fisher Offshore are looking to recruit an experienced, dependable and proactive HSE Manager. 

Job Purpose 

The purpose of the HSE Manager is to manage and implement JFO’s strategy with regard the health, safety and the environment.  The HSE Manager is responsible for leading this aspect of the business and will be the nominated person within the business for consultation with regards HSE matters.

Principal Accountabilities

  • To oversee the health, safety and environmental function of the business
  • To update, record, monitor and improve on the HSE management system
  • To drive and deliver HSE campaigns that encourage others within the company to more actively engage with HSE
  • To be the focal point for all related HSE queries including but not limited to advice on related standards, risk assessments, protocols, emergency planning and response
  • To ensure that HSE statistics and updates are regularly and effectively communicated to the workforce
  • To align with corporate strategy and regularly update group on performance metrics, KPIs and lessons learned
  • To participate in lessons learned and be involved in implementing improvements that create a positive difference
  • To be the person responsible for leading investigations into HSE incidents, occurrences and accidents
  • To act as a liaison with relevant external parties in matters concerning HSE
  • To support the tendering, project and delivery functions of the business with input into HSE planning, execution and assessments
  • To ensure the company complies with and where possible exceeds legislative standards
  • To be compulsive about driving the businesses target to prevent and reduce HSE incidents
  • To carry out internal audits and be involved in supplier audits
  • To ensure processes are followed
  • To transpose UK business practices as best possible to regional locations
  • To always maintain a clean and safe working area
  • To ensure principal consideration is given to personal health and safety
  • To ensure appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is used in accordance with Company health and safety policies
  • Any other reasonable delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management
