Our Hardware Team are recruiting so we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior electronics engineer to join us.

You will be in a team that designs, develops, and sustains fire detection and notification devices

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Designing processes, and actively participating in the definition and implementation of new products.
  • Helping to maintain existing products and electronics designs.
  • Perform WCA, part-stress, DFMEAs, MTBFs, Monte-Carlo Analysis.
  • Participate in feasibility studies and help to define design architectures through requirement analysis and collation.
  • Mentor and review junior engineers’ work.

What you need to succeed:

  • Degree in electronic engineering or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in electronic product design and development.
  • Strong analogue circuit, high-volume, and low-power electronics circuit design experience.
  • Expertise in modelling and simulating electronic circuits.
  • Experience in high-regulated product development (e.g., automotive, medical devices, avionics, military etc).
  • Understanding of quality, reliability, and risk assessments procedures (e.g., six-sigma).
  • Good organisation skills and be comfortable working with some degree of uncertainty

Desirable:

  • Software knowledge (embedded / firmware).
  • Knowledge of safety standards (e.g., SIL, ATEX etc)
  • Exposure to fire/gas detection, instrumentation or at least some involvement in instrumentation, optics/laser designs.
