Our Hardware Team are recruiting so we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior electronics engineer to join us.
You will be in a team that designs, develops, and sustains fire detection and notification devices
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Designing processes, and actively participating in the definition and implementation of new products.
- Helping to maintain existing products and electronics designs.
- Perform WCA, part-stress, DFMEAs, MTBFs, Monte-Carlo Analysis.
- Participate in feasibility studies and help to define design architectures through requirement analysis and collation.
- Mentor and review junior engineers’ work.
What you need to succeed:
- Degree in electronic engineering or equivalent.
- Significant experience in electronic product design and development.
- Strong analogue circuit, high-volume, and low-power electronics circuit design experience.
- Expertise in modelling and simulating electronic circuits.
- Experience in high-regulated product development (e.g., automotive, medical devices, avionics, military etc).
- Understanding of quality, reliability, and risk assessments procedures (e.g., six-sigma).
- Good organisation skills and be comfortable working with some degree of uncertainty
Desirable:
- Software knowledge (embedded / firmware).
- Knowledge of safety standards (e.g., SIL, ATEX etc)
- Exposure to fire/gas detection, instrumentation or at least some involvement in instrumentation, optics/laser designs.
