What’s the role about?

Our Membership Fundraisers are the ambassadors for the RSPB; traveling to different venues on most days in their company van, where they set up attractive fundraising stands and spend the day actively engaging with members of the public.

Every day our Membership Fundraisers are playing a vital role in our efforts to help give nature the home it deserves. They do this by having engaging conversations with people about our conservation work, educating the public about how they can help wildlife from home, and inspiring people of all ages to become lifelong members of the RSPB so that we can make a difference to our natural world.

You’ll be working within the market town of Stroud and the surrounding Cotswolds towns and villages such as Cirencester and Bourton-on-the Water. The Cotswolds AONB is beautiful with its stunning open spaces, rolling hills and picture-postcard market towns and villages.

In Gloucestershire, the RSPB has a connection with The Forest of Dean. We have RSPB Nagshead at Parkend which is right in heart of the Forest. This is an extensive swathe of ancient woodland and a haven for key species including Nightingale, Hawfinch, Spotted flycatcher and Goshawk. The reserve is full of mature oak trees throng with a rich variety of wildlife all year round.

Working in vibrant Gloucester and Cheltenham, as well as Bristol, Europe’s green capital of 2015, would be expected to spread the message of natures’ plight to people in these urban centres
