Summary

To be the primary contact for part of our global customer base, providing expert advice on installed systems on ships around the world. You will proactively discuss and sell our spares and service products on Martek systems, dealing closely with the end user on a consultancy basis to maximise accounts, delivering above and beyond customer expectations and delivering monthly sales budget.

Working with Ships? In Rotherham? Who’d have thought it? Well… its true! Martek Marine Ltd., based in Manvers South Yorkshire, are a leading supplier of systems designed to keep ships, their crews, and their cargo safe, and we have an exciting opportunity as Aftersales Account Manager.

Managing an ever growing, global customer base can be challenging, but if you are hungry for enhancing customer experience through expert advice and upselling through consultation, you are comfortable speaking and selling to customers verbally on a regular basis and love a challenge, then this may just be the opportunity you have been looking for! We offer full training, all we need is your enthusiasm and confidence with customers - we can teach you the rest.

You will work in a fast-moving B2B SME, consulting ships managers and senior purchasers on our products they have installed. Ensuring your clients purchase what they need when they need it in a highly competitive environment will be your daily objective. You would maximise every interaction, providing optimum customer service whilst delivering best in class technical sales advice. You will report to the Global Aftersales and Service Manager and be part of a wider, close-knit sales and operations team where cooperation is paramount.

As our Aftersales Account Manager, you will generate and manage continuous revenue streams, through intensive consultation via telephone and regular e-mail contact with your clients. You will maximise productivity and overachieve activity targets and be driven to succeed. You will achieve targeted increases in product lines per customer through consultative selling, ensuring systems are operating to the client’s requirements, as well as encouraging proactive repeat custom.
