Job Title: Lead SAP and Operational Engineer Location: Ideally South of England & home working
EDS Group is a leading authority in the design, installation, operation, maintenance and repair of high voltage windfarms. Mainly operating in the UK and Europe, EDS has been serving renewables for over a decade and impacting every stage of the wind farm lifecycle.
Role purpose:
Ensure that the Transmission Assets operated and maintained by EDS achieve above target and best in class for operational performance, also ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. Be the centre of excellence for Transmission Asset Management (O&M) within the business, and the industry sector, and provide support into to other areas of the EDS Group in pursuit of their business objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
- Execute the Asset Management Plan for the Transmission Assets and auxiliary systems to ensure the OFTO achieves above target Availability throughout their life.
- As an authorised EDS 400kV SAP you will be required to be on call to support all the 24/7 OFTO O&M contracts.
- Manage the interface with NG ESO and the Generator, also support the Asset Management function within EDS, to ensure that Asset Health and Condition is reported and maintained in-line with contractual compliance.
- Responsible for OFTO KPI’s to ensure operations and maintenance activities are delivered on time, to the correct standards and within budget.
- Promote and encourage a culture that aligns with and actively supports the EDS company values.
- Other duties as required.
Skills/Experience Required:
Essential:
- Experience of developing and managing operational teams in, preferably, a transmission or distribution context.
- 400/275/132kV SAP, with the requirement to become authorised under the EDS HV Safety rules. Familiarisation training will be provided for the on-call sites.
- In depth technical knowledge of Transmission networks particularly the UK and Europe. Or can demonstrate a high degree of technical competence within their field of experience
- High degree of technical knowledge and analytical skills required to deliver world class Transmission Asset Management performance
- IT Literate
- This role requires a high degree of integrity and a flexible approach to achieving objectives through others and by influencing others
- Full UK driving license
Desirable:
- Experience within a transmission operator environment, preferable in the UK or can demonstrate working within highly regulated, procedure driven controlled environments.
- Experience within the UK transmission business
- IOSH / NEBOSH qualified
