The Medical Needs Service, under the Short Stay School for Norfolk, is keen to build a team of home learning support assistants to work on short term assignments throughout Norfolk. The successful applicants will have the opportunity to undertake temporary work from 1 day to several weeks per term, supporting vulnerable young people in their homes under the direction of teachers in the pupil’s home school. Those fulfilling roles will be offered a zero-hour contract and be asked to indicate their weekly availability.
This role involves supporting the learning of young people who are medically unfit for school and requires travel and lone working. Sessions take place in the pupil’s home.
We understand the need for flexibility and this role will complement other part time positions. However, candidates should envisage being available for work for at least two days per week and preferably more.
